LIVE AT THE BBC (1994)
The first live compilation album of songs recorded for radio broadcasts for the BBC was released in 1994.
The first volume contains songs recorded for radio broadcasts with no overdubs and played live in the studio between 1963 and 1965.The Beatles was said to have recorded more than 275 songs all in all for the BBC and a double album of such material wasn't even enough to fill in the entire BBC catalogue.
The live double album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard charts in 1994 and went to number one in the UK, a proof of the band's awesome longevity and timeless appeal. The album also caught the attention of new generations of Beatles fans many of who, wasn't even born yet during the band's hey day.
Will there be a third installment? That,we'll just have to wait and see.
